Made in ALX, in the heart of Old Town Alexandria, is excited to welcome kids ages 6 to 13 to our summer art camps! Your kids can paint, sculpt and craft in a positive and supportive environment with small class sizes (just 10 kids per session). These week-long, half-day camps are hosted both mornings and afternoons for children ages 6 to 9 or 10 to 13. Classes are taught by an experienced and loved Fairfax County Public Schools art teacher. Orchestra students from Alexandria's George Washington Middle School will perform at the Great Harvest Bread Company on Friday, January 15 from 4-6 pm. Students are busking to earn money for a field trip to Boston this spring where they will be participating in work shops with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and an exchange with orchestra students from a Boston area middle school. Come to Great Harvest Bread (1711 Centre Plaza, Alexandria 22302) and enjoy some free bread slices and listen to some beautiful music from these talented middle school students.
