Mask-erpiece Silent Auction October 3rd and 18th

“Metamorphosis!” opens on Friday, October 3, with an artists’ reception from 7-9 pm at Del Ray Artisans gallery. This art exhibit is a juried art exhibit featuring work by local artists. The juror is Elizabeth Ann Coleman, retired director and curator emeritus of textiles and fashion at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. Metamorphosis implies a distinct transformative change from one form to another, the key word being ‘change’. The artwork featured in this show demonstrates how change can be positive, negative, frightening, or enlightening; metaphorical or physical.

The art exhibit and events are at Del Ray Artisans gallery at the Nicholas A. Colasanto Center, 2704 Mount Vernon Avenue, Alexandria, Virginia 22301.
