Minors Break Into George Washington Middle School: Police
Alexandria Police and the Fairfax County helicopter were investigating a burglary at the middle school early Saturday morning.
ALEXANDRIA, VA — Did you hear a helicopter hovering over your neighborhood just after midnight Saturday? Around 1 a.m., Alexandria Police were investigating a burglary at George Washington Middle School (1005 Mount Vernon Avenue).
The Fairfax County Police helicopter assisted police on the scene. Two juveniles were apprehended for trespassing on school property.
Alexandria Police notified residents via social media about the burglary as a number of residents became aware of the helicopter presence around Del Ray.
