MV Big Flea Set For Late April In Del Ray

ALEXANDRIA, VA—If you like shopping and supporting your local school, the upcoming MV Big Flea is the thing for you. MV Big Flea's main event is coming up on Saturday, April 27 from 7 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Mount Vernon Recreation Center, 2701 Commonwealth Avenue, Alexandria.

MV Big Flea takes used items and sells them to benefit students through the Mount Vernon Community School PTA. Proceeds are used for field trips, enrichment activities, special events, computers, musical instruments and art and classroom supplies.

Here is the schedule for the event:

• 7 a.m.: Early bird admission with $10 fee
• 8 a.m.: General admission, no fee
• 10:15 a.m. (approximately): Everything half off
• 12 p.m. (approximately): Everything is free with $10 re-entry fee
• 1 p.m.: Closed
• April 20, 10 a.m.-12 p.m.: Last chance for furniture on sale

The event collects donations of household items and furniture ahead of the event. Donations are no longer being accepted for this year's main event. To support the event with a monetary donation, email mvbigfleadonations@gmail.com.
