New Biscuit Restaurant Applies To Open In Vacant Arlandria Space
A restaurant serving biscuits that currently runs at farmers market is seeking to open on Mount Vernon Avenue.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — A biscuit restaurant is proposed to fill a vacant restaurant space in Alexandria's Arlandria neighborhood.
District Biscuit Company filed a special use permit application with the city to open at 3401 Mount Vernon Avenue. The standalone restaurant space formerly hosted Silpancho’s House, a Latin American restaurant that closed earlier in 2022.
The proposed District Buscuit Company would serve American and Southern breakfast like biscuit sandwiches, biscuits and gravy, sweet biscuits and coffee. The business was founded as District Biscuit Company's chef developed a biscuit recipe during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the business website. It currently operates at the Lubber Run Farmers Market and Fairlington Farmers Market in Arlington as well as the One Loudoun Farmers Market in Ashburn.
