New Restaurant Replacing Bombay Curry Company Opens
Curry and other Indian delicacies are back in Del Ray with the opening of Spice Kraft Indian Bistro.
ALEXANDRIA, VA — Spice Kraft Indian Bistro opened in place of Bombay Curry Company at 2607 Mount Vernon Avenue in Del Ray.
Bombay Curry Company announced the new Indian restaurant's soft opening was held on Wednesday, Aug. 28. A grand opening date has not been announced.
"Hopefully you will shower them with the same love, affection and support that you bestowed upon Bombay," reads the Facebook post.

Spice Kraft Indian Bistro is open all days but Mondays. The restaurant's website at www.spicekraftdelray.com is in the works.

Bombay Curry Company, a staple in Del Ray since 1995, closed in January as owners Nicky and Balraj Bhasin retired. The decision resulted from "staffing challenges, a need for Balraj to focus on his health, as well as some family matters that have been put on the back burner for quite some time."
Bombay Curry Company's website remains active with links to Balraj Bhasin's recipes.
