Pedestrian Injured in Crash on Mount Vernon Avenue: Police
Police say the victim has "serious injuries" after being struck Friday night on Mount Vernon Avenue in Alexandria.
ALEXANDRIA, VA -- The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a “pedestrian struck crash” in the 1000 block of Mount Vernon Avenue (see map below), according to an alert sent out by police at 7:06 p.m.
The victim has serious injuries, according to police. Expect police activity in area.
The incident is the second serious pedestrian-involved crash within 24 hours in Alexandria.
