UPDATE: Police Investigate Shooting in Alexandria

UPDATE 3 p.m.: The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a felonious assault that occurred Tuesday morning. An adult male suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg and was transported to the hospital.

The incident was reported in the 400 block of Euille Street at 1:50 a.m. Detectives believe that the incident occurred elsewhere, and the location of the assault is still under investigation.

A man was shot in Alexandria in the overnight hours, according to an alert sent out by the Alexandria Police Department Tuesday at 2:24 a.m.

The Alexandria Police Department is investigating the shooting of an adult male. Police say he was shot in the leg, in the 400 block of Euille Street.

The victim was transported to the hospital. Police did not release any other information regarding the circumstances of the shooting, or say if anyone was apprehended or arrested for the shooting.
