The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a felonious assault Sunday night in the 1200 block of Wythe Street in Alexandria (see map), according to a police alert sent out at 8:42 p.m.
Police say that the suspect is known by the victim. The victim has non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
Police say to expect activity in the area as they investigate the assault.
