Police Report Attack During Attempted Robbery Sunday in Alexandria

Alexandria Police say someone was attacked Sunday morning in an attempted robbery in Alexandria and was sent to the hospital.

The Alexandria Police Department is investigating the “felonious assault” that occurred early this morning in the 3900 block of Executive Avenue in Alexandria.

The incident is believed to be an attempted robbery, according to police. The adult victim was transported to the hospital, police said.

Police did not say what time the incident took place, give any description of a suspect or suspects or say if any weapons were involved.
