Police Report Purse-Snatching Sunday in Alexandria
Incident took place near apartment buildings off of West Glebe Road, police said.

The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a purse snatching that took place Sunday night in the 3800 block Florence Drive (see map below).
The street includes a parking lot for a cluster of apartment buildings off of West Glebe Road.
Police say the robbery took place at about 6 p.m. Sunday. There were no injuries and the suspect fled on foot, according to police. Police did not release a description of the suspect.

Also over the weekend:
- A person was robbed at gunpoint Friday in the City’s West End
- A gas station was robbed Sunday at gunpoint in the West End
- A second gas station was robbed at gunpoint just north of Old Town, near the Clover neighborhood.
Police have not released descriptions of any of the suspects.

Raids Online is used by the City instead of releasing more detailed daily or weekly crime reports, which is the norm for surrounding jurisdictions.
