Serious Accident Injures 4 On Eisenhower Avenue
BREAKING: Police urge drivers to avoid the Eisenhower Connector area due to a serious accident with a downed power pole.
ALEXANDRIA, VA—Part of Eisenhower Avenue is closed in both directions due to a serious accident involving a downed power pole on the roadway.
Four people were injured and rescued in the crash, according to IAFF Local 2141, the Alexandria firefighters union. The three people were taken to the hospital. There was no word on the severity of their injuries.
According to police, the traffic crash also resulted in the power pole blocking the roadway. The road closures were in effect between Eisenhower Connector and Van Dorn Street.

The crash is under investigation.
