Reserve 2216: Serving Up Southern Classics in Del Ray

Chef Eric Reid is at the helm of reservation-only eatery atop Del Ray Pizzeria location on 'The Avenue.'

Residents and visitors to Del Ray have another sophisticated yet laid-back choice when it comes to the dining scene around town.

Sitting atop Del Ray Pizzeria, the new 30-seat Reserve 2216 quietly began taking reservations and serving up a mouth-watering menu last month, with Chef Eric Reid at the helm serving up classic Southern dishes with a refined spin.

A quick look at the menu shows some tempting dishes including, from “snackville,” seared sea scallops with a warm honey-habanero vinaigrette and bacon. From “main street,” you’ll find grilled striploin, a dry-aged 12 ounce cut with potato rounds and garlic confit, with sauce verde and liquid “gold” (see photo above, from the restaurant’s Facebook page). You’ll find Reid’s daily inspiration up on the blackboard.
