ALEXANDRIA, VA — The former Bean Creative space in Del Ray could get new life as a restaurant.

A special use permit application was filed with the city for Gostov Boulangerie & Brasserie, a French cafe bistro. The request was filed for 2213 Mount Vernon Avenue, the former home of Bean Creative. The web and app developer announced in 2019 it would close and sell the building.

The restaurant proposal comes from Abderrahim Moussaif, the property's current owner. The application states the restaurant would offer casual dining with French cuisine and beverages.
