Road Closures Planned For 2 Events In Del Ray, Potomac Yard
Alexandria Police announced road closures for Active for Autism 5K and Kaiser Permanente Community Day.

ALEXANDRIA, VA—Alexandria Police say there will be road closures for two events the weekend of April 13-14 in the Potomac Yard/Del Ray area. Kaiser Permanente Community Day will happen on Saturday, April 13, followed by the Active for Autism 5K on Sunday, April 14.
Kaiser Permanente's Community Day event celebrates the opening of its new medical center at 3000 Potomac Avenue. The event will feature free wellness activities, a moon bounce, rock climbing wall, spin art bikes, a farmers market, and a live cooking demonstration by Evening Star Cafe Chef Jonathan Till from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
East Glebe Road will be closed between Main Line Boulevard and Potomac Avenue from approximately 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The first-ever Active for Autism 5K will be held along the Potomac Yard Trail. The event raises money for autism research, student scholarships and free resources for families and teachers. The race begins at 8 a.m. at George Washington Middle School.
There will be several closures on Potomac Avenue. Police will re-route traffic from the 600 to 3600 block. Northbound lanes will be closed to vehicles for runners to use. Southbound lanes will be used for northbound and southbound traffic.

Main Line Boulevard will be closed from the dead end cul-de-sac (near GW Middle School) to Monroe Avenue. Eastbound vehicles in the 600 block of Monroe Avenue will not be able to access Main Line Boulevard. There are exceptions for residents and businesses.
