Rustico's Fourth Annual 'Novemberfest' Returns Saturday

On Saturday, Nov. 7, Rustico will host their Fourth Annual Novemberfest. The outdoor block party will be held from 12 noon to 5 p.m. and feature no fewer than 50 local beers, each brewed by the burgeoning bevy of​ Virginia craft brewers.

Rustico is located at 827 Slaters Lane in Alexandria (entrance to the event is in the parking lot directly behind the restaurant).

Beer Director Greg Engert is sourcing a lineup of craft beers spanning an array of flavors and styles, with 30 of the finest Virginia brewers bringing their very best for this occasion. Expect strong stouts and potent porters, pumpkin ales and session brews, fresh-hop harvest ales, IPAs, sours and barrel-aged beauties.

And for the second consecutive year, Greg is procuring beers from a dozen brewers rarely found in Northern Virginia, including six brewers who will be making their NoVa debut: The Answer Brewpub, Chaos Mountain, Rusty Beaver and Smartmouth. (The full list of featured breweries is below.)

Rustico will provide a menu of hearty dishes to satisfy such as sausages, BBQ pork sandwiches, fried chicken and more. This year, wine lovers can enjoy choice selections from Virginia’s own Barboursville Vineyards as well.

​Local bluegrass bands will provide entertainment and plenty of games and activities will be on hand for the whole family. ​

DETAILS: Admission is $10 at the door and a portion of the proceeds benefit Arcadia Center for Sustainable Food & Agriculture. Food & Drink tickets will be sold a la carte to be used inside the event ($1=1 ticket). Advance tickets are available online now for $25 and include 20 food + drink tickets and your admission (a savings of $5).

The 14-ounce full beers will average from 5 to 8 tickets, while 6-ounce tasting portions will be available for approximately half the price. ​
