Shootings Investigated In Arlandria, North Ridge: Police
One arrest has been made in Sunday's shooting at Lloyd Apartments. The other shooting injured a high school student.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Alexandria Police responded to two shootings Sunday in the Arlandria and North Ridge neighborhoods. One arrest has been made in the North Ridge case.
Around 2:20 a.m. police responded to a gunshots report at Lloyd Apartments in the 3800 block of Cameron Mills Road. Police found an adult man with lower body gunshot wounds in an apartment. The suspect fled before police arrived. The victim went to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police arrested and charged Rudy Bueso Macedo, 38, of Alexandria in Fairfax County with malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and unlawful discharge of a firearm. He is being held at the Alexandria Adult Detention Center.

Around 11:50 a.m., police responded to the second shooting in the 500 block of Four Mile Road in Arlandria. Police found a juvenile male victim with an upper body gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect had fled before police arrived.

Principal Peter Balas confirmed the victim is an Alexandria High School student.
"On behalf of the whole Titan community, I would like to express our support for the student and the family," Balas wrote in a message to families.
