TC Williams STEM Academy needs mentors!

Throughout the 2015-2016 school year, the TC Williams STEM Academy will work actively with professionals in the DC Metro area. There are several opportunities to get involved if you’d like to share your career experience with students interested in science, technology, engineering and math. On Friday October 2, the STEM Academy will host their second annual career day. At this event, students will learn about their many career opportunities and also have a chance to share their plans with local professionals. We are looking for 30 mentors for this event. In addition, our students are required to complete a year-long capstone project during which they must log 15 hours with a capstone mentor. This mentor will provide content-specific knowledge and guidance for their group through email, phone conversations, and in person contact.
