The Find: Custom Framing from Artifacts

One of my favorite aspects of living in Del Ray is the ability to accomplish so many tasks within steps of my front door. Such a wide variety of services abound in our little neighborhood.

Over the years, we have had occasion to have pictures, posters and paintings framed. Convenience—I didn’t have to trudge further than a few blocks—brought me to for the first time. When the staff managed to successfully preserve an old Marine Corps poster belonging to my husband, I knew I had found a local treasure.

Artifacts, located at 201-A East Custis Avenue, offers expert framing options for just about any artwork. According to the store's website, all jobs are completed in-shop using archival materials.

In fact, Artifacts was even able to mount and frame a slide ruler in celebration of my father’s retirement from a career in engineering. They knew exactly what to do when I walked in with such an odd request.

A knowledgeable staff offering a great service close to home. It’s a shopping trifecta.

Artifacts is open Monday through Friday and even offers a small art gallery and selection of gifts for sale.
