You're invited: Sierra Club Summer Social!

The Virginia Chapter of the Sierra Club invites you to join us for our first annual Summer Social on Sunday, August 30! Join us to celebrate the work of ten Virginia Legislators who will be distinguished with Club awards for protecting Virginia’s air, water, land and climate.

Mix and mingle with like-minded politicos and environmentalists on a festive late-summer afternoon on the historic Old Town Alexandria waterfront. Party Guests will enjoy hors d’oeuvres, beer and wine bar, and experience live music performed by social justice a capella vocalists Song Rise.

Ten Virginia Legislators will be awarded for their work in the Virginia General Assemble to increase the availability of energy efficiency and renewable energy financing, scale up solar energy projects, reduce our greenhouse gas emissions, protect out waterways from toxic spills, and dismantle subsidies for coal companies.
