Virginia Police Are Looking For This Missing 12-Year-Old From Dumfries

DUMFRIES, VA – Virginia State Police have issued an alert for a missing Dumfries boy.

Virginia State Police have issued a CODI Alert for 12-year-old Donald Okhialeme Musa, a Black boy with black hair and black eyes, standing 5 feet tall and weighing 75 pounds.

He was last seen on Tuesday at 6 p.m. on Olde Port Lane in Dumfries and is believed to be traveling on foot.

Virginia police say his disappearance is believed to be a threat to his health and safety. They ask anyone who might have seen the boy to call 911.

The state's Critical Operation for a Disappeared Child Initiative, or CODI, is an alert system named after 4-year-old Codi Bigsby, who was reported missing in 2022 and hasn't been found. It is intended to alert the public to missing children meeting certain criteria, including that their disappearances are suspicious or deemed to pose a threat to their health and safety.

CODI Alerts, unlike AMBER Alerts, do not imply that a child is believed to have been abducted.
