Update: 12-Year-Old Dumfries Boy Found Safe

Virginia State Police and police from Dumfries say a missing 12-year-old boy has been found.

DUMFRIES, VA – Virginia State Police have lifted the alert for a missing Dumfries boy.

Virginia State Police had previously issued a CODI Alert for 12-year-old Donald Okhialeme Musa, a Black boy with black hair and black eyes, standing 5 feet tall and weighing 75 pounds.

The state's Critical Operation for a Disappeared Child Initiative, or CODI, is an alert system named after 4-year-old Codi Bigsby, who was reported missing in 2022 and hasn't been found. It is intended to alert the public to missing children meeting certain criteria, including that their disappearances are suspicious or deemed to pose a threat to their health and safety.
