Council to consider new grocer-anchored development (insidenova.com) — Dumfries officials are weighing a rezoning and key permits for a new 50,000-square-foot grocery-anchored development on Old Stage Coach Road that could bring about 200 jobs and a long-awaited supermarket option. After a tense September meeting ended early, the Town Council is set to revisit the conditional use permits, which would help transform a former industrial site near Richmond Highway into a major shopping destination.
