• Cartoonists Rights Founder Robert ‘Bro' Russell Passes (dailycartoonist.com) — Robert “Bro” Russell, founder of Cartoonists Rights, died Sunday morning at Fair Oaks Hospital in Virginia after months of declining health. The longtime free-speech advocate was 84 and is remembered for helping political cartoonists worldwide facing legal threats, intimidation, and exile. Colleagues are invited to share remembrances as plans for a memorial are finalized.
