I-66 Slugging Challenge

The I-66 Slugging Challenge starts Monday September 14 and runs for 66 days along the I-66 corridor.

If you haven't heard of slugging, it's casual or instant carpooling. Drivers and passengers meet up at park-and-ride lots and share a ride. Once there are three people in the car (HOV-3+), the driver switches their E-ZPass Flex to HOV-ON, and everyone rides the I-66 Express Lanes for free. It's mutually beneficial and happens in real time.

Each qualified slug trip you log during the challenge gets you entered into that week's $100 gift card drawing. If you end up logging the most trips over the whole challenge, there's also a $250 grand prize.
