Fredericksburg Man, 23, Killed In Crash On I-66 Express Lanes: Police
A 23-year-old man was fatally injured when the construction vehicle he was driving crashed on the I-66 Express Lanes Friday morning.
FAIRFAX, VA — A 23-year-old Fredericksburg man was killed early Friday morning in a single-vehicle crash on the Interstate 66 Express Lanes in Fairfax County, according to Virginia State Police.
Devin G. Stewart was driving a construction vehicle westbound on I-66, when it veered into the Express Lanes around near Interstate 495. After stricking a guardrail and Jersey wall, the vehicle flipped on its side and caught fire, according to state police.
Troopers were summoned to the scene of the crash around 7:51 a.m. Stewart was declared dead at the scene.

Nor information was available about what caused the crash or if anyone else was injured, according to state police. The crash damaged nearby equipment for the EZ Pass system.
