17-Year-Old Steals Liquor from ABC Store in Fairfax: Police
The male youth quickly was identified and served with juvenile warrants, according to Fairfax Police regarding the Saturday incident.

FAIRFAX, VA — Security safeguards and surveillance cameras abound at Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control stores, and if you look anything close to being underage, rest assured you'll be watched with scrutiny.
But that didn't deter a 17-year-old youth from Fairfax late Saturday afternoon from walking into the ABC store at 9600 Main Street and stealing two bottles of liquor.
The manager reported the theft shortly after 4 p.m., and the male subject quickly was identified.

Through juvenile petitions, he was charged with petit larceny and unlawful possession of alcohol.

9622 Main Street / Shoppers Food Warehouse – On January 7 at 1:55 PM a manager reported that a female subject had attempted to leave the store with a large quantity of merchandise which had not been paid for. After investigation by the Patrol Division Tonya Michelle Turner, 56, of 10570 Main Street, Fairfax, was taken into custody and transported to the Adult Detention Center where she was charged with grand larceny and released on personal recognizance.

3918 University Drive / 7-Eleven – On January 7 at 4:28 PM employees reported that a male subject had taken cigarettes without paying. An officer took the subject into custody in the area. The suspect was transported to a medical facility for evaluation of possible medical problems. A warrant was obtained charging him with felony petit larceny—third offense. Warrant service was pending.
Credit Card Theft

10300 Block of Sager Avenue – On January 7 at 6:55 PM the resident reported that about 5:00 PM a male subject known to him had stolen a credit card from the resident’s room and then left the residence. As the result of investigation by the Patrol Division a warrant was obtained charging the suspect with credit card theft. Warrant service was pending.
