2 Fairfax Eateries Donating All Sales For A Day To Charity
Two Fairfax-area Jersey Mike's restaurants are donating all their sales on March 31 to support local charities.
FAIRFAX CITY, VA — Two Jersey Mike's Subs store in the Fairfax City are donating 100 percent of sales in support of area charities on Wednesday.
The Kamp Washington Jersey Mike's is joining three other Northern Virginia sub shops in supporting Powerful Beyond Measure, a volunteer-run non-profit that implements efforts toward youth and community development.
The Fair Lakes Jersey Mike's and 12 other D.C.-area restaurants are donating their sales on Wednesday to Special Olympics Virginia, which provides year-round support and training in athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.

The effort is part of the sandwich franchise chain's Month of Giving, which has raised $32 million for local charities since 2011. Jersey Mike's hopes to shatter its own record and raise more than $8 million this year, it said in a news release.
Jersey Mike’s has been taking donations all month for selected charities. “All sales from all locations” will be donated on Wednesday, the company said. Owners will even donate their money to the cause so that every dollar that flows in on Wednesday will go to charity.

Restaurant owners pick the charities and identify organizations “that support local neighborhoods and build a stronger community,” the company said.
