$27K In Merchandise Stolen By Out-Of-State Retail Theft Crew: FCPD
Fairfax County Police detectives found more than $15,000 in stolen merchandise after the arrest of 2 out-of-state larceny ring members.

FAIR OAKS, VA — Detectives from Fairfax County Police Department's Tysons Urban Team arrested two members of an out-of-state retail theft crew that has been targetting stores at two Fairfax County malls for the last four months.
Around 1:07 p.m., on Saturday, TUT detectives learned that the crew had been spotted in the 11700 block of Fair Oaks Mall in Fair Oaks. Investigators followed the crew to Tysons, where additional thefts occurred, according to police. Two suspects were taken into custody and a third escaped.
Oscar William Laverde Laverde, 56, of New York was charged with four counts of grand larceny, four counts of conspiracy to commit larceny, four counts of larceny with intent to sell, and possession of a burglarious tool.

Sindia Noguera, 43, of New Jersey was charged with five counts of grand larceny, five counts of conspiracy to commit larceny, five counts of larceny with intent to sell, and possession of a burglarious tool.

Laverde and Noguera were then held without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
A third suspect, whom police identified as 45-year-old Claudia Suarez of New York, was not located. However, investigators have obtained arrest warrants for conspiracy to commit larceny against her. Additional warrants will also be sought for Suarez, according to police.
The crew is linked to multiple larcenies over a four-month period, which yielded over $27,000 in merchandise.

The arrests on Saturday came just three days after TUT detectives three other suspects who were part of the out-of-state ring. In that case, investigators recovered more than $24,000 worth of merchandise, mostly underwear from Victoria’s Secret.
