$2K In Cigarettes, $300 In Rolled Coins Stolen From City Store: Police

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — City of Fairfax Police released surveillance photos Thursday of a man they say stole 20 cartons of cigarettes and about $300 worth of rolled quarters from a local convenience store on Saturday afternoon. Police are asking the public's help in identifying the man in the photos.

Around 1:15 p.m., on Saturday, a man wearing a maroon T-shirt, black sandals, a camouflage-print bucket hat and black backpack entered the 7-Eleven store located at 10485 Fairfax Blvd., according to police. While the store clerk was stocking coolers, the man forced his way into a locked room, wither he took the quarters and the 20 cigarette cartons, which are valued at about $2,000, and $300 worth of rolled quarters.
