The City Council has added a second general public comment opportunity to the regular council meetings, effective June 11. These public comment periods are for “general public comment on any item not requiring a public hearing.”

The first public comment period will be held near the beginning of meetings, before the consent agenda and public hearings. To be included in the first public comment period, sign up by 5 p.m. on the meeting day by calling the City Clerk’s Office at 703-385-7935.

Those who sign up at the meeting may speak at agenda item #9, after the consent agenda and public hearings.

When speaking before the City Council citizens are asked to state their name and home address for the record. When bringing materials to distribute to the City Council, please provide at least 14 copies. Click here for additional guidance on speaking at City Council meetings.
