Abduction, Assault Charges Filed For Incident At Fairfax City Motel
City of Fairfax Police arrested a 21-year-old Falls Church man who they say assaulted someone at a city hotel on Sept. 16.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — A 22-year-old Falls Church man is facing multiple charges including abduction and assault and battery, in connection with an incident that occurred Sept. 16 at a Fairfax City motel.
Officers with the City of Fairfax Police Department responded around 2:50 a.m for the report of an assault at the Comfort Inn at 11180 Jermantown Road. A preliminary investigation determined that the suspect prevented the victim from leaving their hotel room or calling 911, according to police. No injuries were reported.
Police arrested Emilson Alvarado Sorto of Falls Church and took him to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. Once there, they charged him with abduction, assault and battery, and preventing someone from calling 911. Alvarado Sorto was held on a secured bond.

Alvarado Sorto's preliminary hearing is set for Jan. 7, 2025, according to Fairfax County General District Court records.
