Active Forgery Warrants Served, 4 DUI Arrests Made In Fairfax: Police
A Fairfax man who was stopped for a traffic violation was served by city police on active forgery warrants Sunday morning.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — City of Fairfax Police officers conducting a traffic stop early Sunday morning arrested a Fairfax man wanted on outstanding arrest warrants for forgery, according to the weekly crime report.
Officers stopped 34-year-old Manuel Gaitan of Fairfax around 3:19 a.m., for a traffic violation near the intersection of Fairfax Boulevard and Jermantown Road.
After determining that Gaitan was intoxicated, the officers took him into custody and transported him to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. Once there, they charged him with driving under the influence of alcohol and served him the active warrants for forgery, according to the report.

Gaitan was held at the ADC on a $3,000 secured bond.
City of Fairfax Police made three other, unrelated DUI arrests from Feb. 20-Feb. 26, according to the weekly crime report:

- Kunho Cheung, 79, of Fairfax was involved in a single-vehicle crash around 4 p.m., on Friday near the intersection of Main Street and Burke Station Road. Police charged Cheung with driving under the influence of alcohol and refusal of a breath test. He was then held on a $1,500 unsecured bond until sober.
- Umer Javed, 22, of Burke was involved in a single-vehicle crash around 7:54 p.m., on Friday near the intersection of Fairfax Boulevard and Eaton Place. Police charged Javed with driving under the influence of alcohol. He was then held until sober on a $1,500 unsecured bond.
- Jesus Acosta, 24, of North Carolina was involved in a motor vehicle crash around 3:19 a.m., on Sunday near the intersection of Fairfax Boulevard and Jermantown Road. Police charged Acosta with driving under the influence of alcohol and refusal of a breath test. Police also issued a summons for a traffic violation. Acosta was then held on a $5,000 unsecured bond until sober.
