FAIRFAX, VA - September 24, 2012 - The Hub Theatre has appointed Officers and Directors as the organization heads into Season 5. Randy A. Carswell of Arlington, VA has been elected Board Chair and Morris Zamora of Fairfax, VA has been elected Treasurer. Gay Beach, also of Fairfax, continues her term as Secretary for the Fairfax-based non-profit professional theatre company. Carswell succeeds Hub Co-Founder Marey Oakes, who recently completed a 2-year term as Chair. Oakes continues as a Director on the Theatre Board.
Randy A. Carswell, a Marketing and Communications professional with Booz Allen Hamilton, served on The Hub's Board of Directors for two years prior to assuming the Chair role. A graduate of University of North Carolina School of the Arts and a former professional stage manager, his term as Chair began on September 1.
"Our focus this year is on growth and community involvement," said Carswell. "We have great plans to better reach our audience, and expand our offerings so that more people can experience the thrill of a live performance at The Hub. We have big plans and an amazing season ahead. I just can't imagine a more exciting time to be part of The Hub."

Gay Beach, also with Booz Allen, continues as The Hub's Secretary. Beach joined the Board of Directors as a founding member in 2008. She has served as Secretary since 2010.
Morris Zamora, Vice President of First Virginia Community Bank is The Hub's newly elected Treasurer. Zamora, a Fairfax resident, previously served on The Hub's Advisory Board, and is beginning his first term on the Board of Directors.

Helen Pafumi, The Hub's Artistic Director said, "I'm thrilled with our current Board of Directors. They each have so much to offer, and their dedication to The Hub's mission is inspiring. As a real working Board, they are involved in every aspect of our organization. The Hub couldn't survive without this dynamic group of directors."
The 2012/2013 Hub Theatre Board of Directors also includes: Bob Burnett, Vice President of Creative Direction, GVI; Dina Punturi, President, Studio D11; Jeffrey Stevenson, Lead Associate, Booz Allen Hamilton; Eve Townsend, Realtor, Long & Foster Real Estate; and Helen Pafumi, Artistic Director, The Hub Theatre.
