Assault Charge Levied Against 46-Year-Old Fairfax Man: Police

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — A 46-year-old Fairfax man faces an assault charge after an argument became physical, according to City of Fairfax Police.

On May 23, around 2:13 a.m., officers responded to the 4000 block of Roberts Road for the report of an assault.

The person who reported the incident told police that they were assaulted by an acquaintance during an argument and had received minor injuries. They identified Joshua Alexander as the person who assaulted them, according to police.

Police located Alexander nearby and arrested him. After taking Alexander to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, police charged him with assault. He was then released after promising to appear in court.
