Assault On Law Officer, DUI Charges Levied By Fairfax City Police
A 35-year-old man who was arrested for DUI assaulted an officer twice during his processing, according to Fairfax City Police.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — A 35-year-old man is facing multiple charges, including assault of law enforcement in connection with a trespassing investigation that occurred early Saturday at a Fairfax City convenience store.
Officers with the City of Fairfax Police Department responded around 12:07 a.m., to the 7-Eleven at 10810 Fairchester Drive for the report of an unknown man refusing to leave the property.
A preliminary investigation determined that 35-year-old Juan Sargero of no fixed address was under the influence of alcohol, according to police.

Sargero was arrested and taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he was charged with drunk in public. During his processing, Sargero assaulted an officer twice, which resulted him being charged with two counts of assault on law enforcement. He was then held without bond.
Sargero has an Aug. 7 hearing date on the DUI and assault on law enforcement charges, according to Fairfax County General District Court records. He also has a hearing on June 14 on DUI and the intentional destruction of property of less than $1,000 in value charges in connection with an April 15 arrest.
