Assistance League of Northern Virginia Receives $7,200 Grant

Cecil and Irene Hylton Foundation Grant will support Weekend Food for Kids Program

Assistance League of Northern Virginia is honored to have been selected to receive a grant of $7,200 from The Cecil and Irene Hylton Foundation in support of its Weekend Food for Kids program. This grant will enable the nonprofit to continue providing weekend food to students enrolled in the food program at Loch Lomond Elementary School, in Manassas, for an entire school year. With the foundation's tremendous support, children who live with food insecurity will have the energy they need to achieve their full potential in school. This is the first time the organization has reached out to the foundation, and Assistance League is very appreciative of the Hylton family's generous show of support.

The Cecil and Irene Hylton Foundation has a rich history in Prince William and has supported nonprofits that serve the Woodbridge and surrounding communities since 1989, giving primarily for hospitals, education, human services, and to a performing arts center and a boys and girls club.
