Mystery Squatter Moves Into Backyard Tree House in Fairfax: Police

Woman said she found various items in the tree house, and Fairfax Police suspect someone had been living there.

FAIRFAX, VA — On Sunday afternoon, a woman reported to Fairfax Police that someone apparently had broken into her house and had decided to take up residence in the 10500 block of Providence Way.

Not inside her actual house, mind you.

Her tree house.

Police found beer cans, a backpack and other indications that an unknown person or persons had been living in the tree house in the backyard of her home.

Police filed a report of unlawful entry.

10008 Main Street / 7-Eleven – On November 26 at 1:18 AM an officer who was interviewing two subjects who appeared intoxicated determined that one of them had merchandise from the store which had not been paid for. Russell Jordan Turner, 18, of 3309 Willow Crescent Drive, Fairfax, was issued a summons for concealment of merchandise. Investigation revealed that the second subject had taken cigarettes from the store without paying. Rayquan Malik Jackson, 18, of 7982, Audubon Avenue, Fairfax County, was issued a summons for shoplifting.

3910 University Drive / 7-Eleven – On November 26 at 5:51 PM the victim, a 57 year old woman, reported that while she was in the store a male subject had approached her, yelled at her and spit upon her. As the result of investigation by the Patrol Division the suspect was identified and warrants were obtained charging him with assault and battery and disorderly conduct. An officer on patrol subsequently located the subject and took him into custody. Donnell Marquese Dixon, 27, of no fixed address, was transported to the Adult Detention Center where his bond was set at $1000.

9700 Block of Fairfax Boulevard – On November 26 at 7:24 PM the 61 year old female victim reported that about 12:30 PM an unknown male subject had approached her while she was walking, grabbed her, purse, and took cash from it, then fled on foot towards Fairfax Circle. The victim was not injured. The Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the case.

3185 Old Lee Highway / McDonald’s - On November 27 at 7:05 AM the manager reported that a female subject had become disorderly, yelled at him, broke a display container and threw a container of straws at him, striking him.
The suspect was taken into custody at the scene. Fatima Amor, 48, of no fixed address, was transported to the Adult Detention Center where she was charged with assault and battery.

Larceny from Vehicle

3400 Block of Park Hill Place – On November 27 at 11:07 AM the vehicle owner reported that sometime between 2:00 PM on November 23 and 11:00 PM on November 26 unknown person(s) had entered her unlocked parked vehicle and stolen a roll of coins.
