Ben & Jerry's To Celebrate Grand Re-Opening In Fairfax Corner
After closing its doors in January, the Fairfax Corner Ben & Jerry's marks its return to Fairfax Corner with special prices and giveaways.

FAIRFAX CORNER, VA — Ben & Jerry's is celebrating its grand re-opening on Saturday with specials and giveaways for customers, as well as an appearance by an ice cream loving cow.
The ice cream shop is marking its grand re-opening, because the previous owner had closed it down in January, according to current owner Kyle Hosch.
"He had owned it for quite some time," Hosch said. "I think with everything that happened last year, he decided to shut it down."

Hosch, who owns Ben & Jerry's shops in the Reston Town Center, Vienna, and at a kiosk in the Dulles Town Center Mall, renegotiated the lease with the landlord and reopened the Fair Corner shop at the end of April.
"We've kind of held off on doing the grand re-opening until now, when things are more settled," he said. "We wanted to do it to let the community know we're back."

All day long on Saturday, customers will receive a free pint of ice cream with the purchase of 2 pints. They can also take advantage of the scoop special from 1-5 p.m., when a scoop of ice cream only costs $1. From 5-10 p.m., customers will receive $1 off on shakes, sundaes and small/large ice cream sizes.
"We're also going to have a tent set up out front between 1 and 5 p.m.," Hosch said. "We're going to have a prize wheel, where you can spin it and get some free giveaways. We're going to have somebody in the cow costume, people can take pictures, things like that."
