Best Restaurants For Lunch In Fredericksburg: Patch Readers
Patch asked its readers to share their favorite places in Fredericksburg for lunch and recommend what dishes to order.
FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Patch recently published a survey asking its readers to share their recommendations for the best places in Fredericksburg to take a visitor for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Forty-two Fredericksburg foodies shared their favorite restaurants and recommendations for what to order. The response to our survey was so great that we've decided to split the results into several stories.
We've already published readers' favorite places to go for breakfast and now we're going to look at what lunch spots they recommended.

While survey respondents mentioned 30 different restaurants to go for lunch in Fredericksburg, a handful were praised for their service, the scope of their menus and their signature dishes.
There were so many choices, one reader named Lynn had a difficult time narrowing down which restaurant to recommend.

"Basilico? Tapa Rio? Petit Auberge? Depends," she said. "Basilico for great sandwich. Tapa Rio for great small plates. Petit Auberge for the lovely quiet atmosphere and great food."
Tanica Butler-Flood was able to narrow the choices to two restaurants.
"I would take my visitor to maybe Sedona or BJ’s for lunch," she said. "Sedona has these Amazon mussels that my husband loves. BJ’s they had some amazing brisket nachos but I don’t think it’s on the menu anymore, also the cookies & cream pazookie is to die for."
Gene Philipp recommended Bubba's Shrimp Shack for the food and economical reasons.
"The $10 Shrimp Special includes 6 extra large lightly breaded Shrimp, fries, hush puppies, special dipping sauce and fountain drink," said Gene Philipp. "Hot and tasty and the rave of locals."

They offer a wide variety of food and they have several homemade soups to choose from. My husband enjoys their tuna salad sandwiches and loves their fresh fried cod when available. I recommend their Eggplant Parmesan. The Eggplant is breaded and fried perfect, the slices are thick and you can actually taste the Eggplant."
