Bike to Work Day 2014: Registration, Pit Stops, Rider Info and More
Event expected to include more than 10,000 commuters heading to work on two wheels.
It's the time of year to get outside. For one day in May, more than 10,000 commuters will get outside on their way to work.
Friday, May 16, 2014 is Bike to Work Day in the D.C. metro area. It's an annual event that draws support from cycling groups throughout Northern Virginia, D.C. and Maryland.
There will be 79 pit stops in communities throughout the region, offering refreshments, a raffle for bicycles and free T-shirts for participants who register by May 9.

For those worried about the right route, experienced bicycle commuters will be leading commuter convoys or you can find a ride buddy.
