Fairfax City is participating in the 20th anniversary of Bike to Work Day. Bicycle commuters are invited to visit our pit stop at Old Town Square between 6-9 a.m. on May 21 to pick up a free t-shirt and a free giveaway goodies from event sponsors. Due to limits on gathering sizes, registration is required, so please select a visitation time slot at fairfaxva.gov/biketowork.
Participants who have registered for the City of Fairfax pit stop by Wednesday May 19, 2021 will be entered into the raffle. Winners will be randomly drawn from the registration list on Thursday May 20, 2021 and notified before the event. Winners can pick up the prize at the pit stop or schedule an appointment to pick up at City Hall for two weeks following the event if they cannot attend.

Don’t forget to protect your head. Even the most experienced cyclist is susceptible to potential wipeouts, through no fault of their own, caused by distracted drivers, mechanical failures, and slippery surfaces. Wear a helmet at every age! If you work from home, take a break and go for a ride!
Even a short ride into Old Town will get your blood pumping – and get you out of the house! Feel the wind on your face, soak up some sunshine, and enjoy spring’s fragrant aromas wafting on the breeze. You’ll feel alive cruising the city streets and trails.
