Blue Volkswagen Golf Sought In Fairfax City Hit And Run Incident

Police are looking for a late model, blue Volkswagen Golf that left the scene of a hit and run involving a pedestrian Tuesday evening.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — City of Fairfax Police are asking the public's help in locating a vehicle in connection with a hit and run involving a pedestrian on Tuesday evening, according to a post on the department's official Twitter account. The victim received non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers responded around 5:50 p.m., to the intersection of Fairfax Boulevard and Pickett Road for the report of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle. The driver of the striking vehicle failed to stop and identify themself before leaving the scene in an unknown direction, according to police.

An investigation determined that the vehicle involved in the hit and run was a late model, blue Volkswagen Golf with unknown registration, according to police. The car is missing its passenger side mirror and may also have sustained damage to the front passenger side.
