Police Investigate Fatality; Fairfax Co. Parkway Reopens
All lanes of the Fairfax County Parkway reopened to traffic, as police continued to investigate fatality in Fair Oaks, authorities say.

FAIRFAX, VA — All lanes of the Fairfax County Parkway in the Fair Oaks area reopened to traffic around 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, after being closed for several hours due to a death investigation, according to authorities.
Fairfax County police received a call around 9:45 a.m. from a resident who reported seeing what appeared to be a deceased person in the grassy median area of the parkway about a half-mile north of the Rugby intersection, according to Capt. Jesse Katzman of FCPD's public information office.
Units from Fairfax County Fire and Rescue were first on the scene and confirmed that there was a deceased man in the median, Katzman told reporters during a news conference on Tuesday morning.
