Bollywood Bistro Celebrates 13 Years In Fairfax's Old Town Plaza

Bollywood Bisto throws a party to celebrate 13 years in its recently expanded and redecorated home in Fairfax City.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — Bollywood Bistro celebrated its 13th anniversary in Old Town Plaza in Fairfax City with an invitation-only party on Thursday night. Guests enjoyed Indian cuisine and music they also could get their fortunes told or have their hands painted with henna.

Hospitality executive Pankaj Sharma and executive chef Sunil Bastola teamed up in August 2009 to open the Fairfax City location. Since 13 is considered a lucky number in India, it seemed like a good time for them to celebrate how far they've come.

Not only have the pair expanded to two additional restaurants in Great Falls and Ballston Quarter Mall in Arlington, they opened an executive kitchen on Lee Highway to meet the demand of their catering business.
