Event Details
Britepaths is hosting our first Reading Fair on Saturday, October 24, from 11:00 am to 2:30 pm at our Fairfax office. The event will celebrate books, support children's literacy, and connect families with educational resources and opportunities in our community.
Volunteers will help create a welcoming and engaging experience for children and families. Bilingual Spanish-speaking volunteers are highly encouraged to apply! Depending on the role, volunteers may help children select books from The Secret Garden, Britepaths’ in-office library; distribute and explain activity punch cards; lead bookmark decorating; support Storytime; welcome families; collect event feedback; or assist with the snack station and other event needs.
Volunteers of all ages are welcome. Those under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. If you cannot stay for the full shift, please indicate your availability in the Comments section when you sign up.
Our office is located at 3959 Pender Dr., Suite 200, Fairfax, VA 22030.
We ask that you provide a phone number where you can be reached on the day of the event. This allows us to contact you if there are any changes regarding the volunteer shift. Your email and phone number will not be visible on the sign-up sheet and will only be used to contact you if necessary.
Thank you for helping us create a welcoming space where children and families can discover new books, build connections, and enjoy time together.
