Carjacking In Merrifield Remains Under Investigation: Fairfax Police

FAIRFAX, VA — On Monday morning, detectives with Fairfax County Police were still looking for a suspect in connection with a carjacking that occurred in the Merrifield area late Saturday afternoon.

Officers were on the scene Saturday around 5:33 p.m., in the 8400 block of Lee Highway for the report of a suspect leaving the area in a white BMW SUV. Although officers were able to locate the stolen car, it was unoccupied.

Investigators described the suspect as a 5-foot-5 Black man with a slim build, who was wearing a black hoodie and a blue medical mask.
