The Cavaliers girls lacrosse team returned to action Friday night at home with a 14–5 win over visiting South County.
Friday's game was Woodson’s first after competing in four contests over spring break in Orlando. The victory over the Stallions provided the Cavs a needed boost entering the Patriot District play, which continues Tuesday night against T.C. Williams in Alexandria.
Woodson controlled play from the outset against South County. They jumped out to an early 6–0 lead, combining fast paced offense with tight defense to put the game out of reach.

Offense was led by the Obregon sisters--senior Elena and freshman Isabel--who combined to tally most of the team's goals. Seniors Leah Williamson and Grace Finnerty helped the Cavaliers control the midfield and transition into the offense attack end. Woodson’s defense featured standout play by seniors Morgan Willard, Ali Kiviat and goalie Victoria Vinall.
