Chesterbrook Academy® Preschool in Fairfax Donates 200 Pounds of Food to Capital Area Food Bank

On Nov. 22, students from Chesterbrook Academy preschool on Roger Stover Drive in Fairfax visited Capital Area Food Bank in Lorton to deliver and sort food donations they collected since the beginning of November. Students received a tour of the food bank and had the opportunity to weigh their donations, which totaled 200 pounds. Students compared the weight of their food donation to the weight of their entire Pre-K2 class, which totaled almost 1,000 pounds. Through this project, students learned the importance of giving back to the community.
