Chick-fil-A Closes Doors On Fair Oaks Mall Location After 22 Years
Chick-fil-A's restaurant in Fair Oaks Mall will be shutting its doors for good on Friday after 22 years.

FAIRFAX, VA — Chick-fil-A's Fair Oaks Mall restaurant is closing its doors for the final time at 7 p.m. on Friday.
The restaurant posted this announcement on its official Facebook page on Thursday:
"It's with heavy hearts to announce that on December 30th, 2022 we are closing our doors permanently. Thank you All for such wonderful memories here at the Fair Oaks Mall Chick-fil-A. It has really been our pleasure serving each and every one of you."

Patch reached out to Chick-fil-A Inc. for an official statement about what led to the decision to close the Fair Oaks Mall store.
“It has been our pleasure to serve each and every customer at this restaurant for the past 22 years and we look forward to continue serving the community at our nearby locations," the Atlanta-based fast food chain said, in an email.

Even with the Fair Oaks Mall location closing, customers will still be able to order the company's signature chicken at several other locations nearby, including Fairfax City (9509 Fairfax Blvd.), Fair Lakes (4516 Fair Knoll Drive), and Vienna (538 Maple Ave. W.).
