Child Accompanies Ross Store Thief: Fairfax Police
A 7-year-old girl accompanied a man on a shoplifting spree Tuesday night at a Ross department store, according to Fairfax Police.

FAIRFAX, VA — This is what clearly should be defined as setting a really, really bad example for a youngster. Or, on the other hand, maybe a really, really good example if one is trying to show a youngster how a criminal operates. Either way, it happened Tuesday night at the Ross department store, 9570 Main Street, according to Fairfax Police.
Shortly before 10:30 p.m., a store employee told police a man, accompanied by a 7-year-old girl, apparently was attempting to steal items from the business. They then attempted to return several items for refunds. An investigation found the merchandise alarm tags had been cut off.
Dwayne O. Dennis, 36, of the 14000 block of Lotus Lane in Centreville, was charged with grand larceny, possession of burglary tools and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He was taken to the Adult Detention Center and held on a $5,000 bond.
